Kyle O'Malley

As Chief Operating Officer of the Walton Insurance Group, O’Malley leads all operations, and 60+ employees at one of the Top 25 Michigan based, privately held, independent insurance brokerage agencies. Recruited and onboarded in 2018 to be President & CEO, O’Malley was tasked to take Walton to the next level of performance. During his time, O’Malley led the organization to set company records in revenue, profit generation and year over year growth.
With a passion for the game of hockey, in 2002 O’Malley along with three other hockey faithful, founded Hockey Has Heart, a Michigan based not for profit 501(c)3 foundation with a mission to help those currently or with past association to hockey who have suffered unforeseen tragedy in their lives. Since its inception, Hockey Has Heart has raised and distributed over $3M+ to families in need.
O’Malley is also a sitting Board Member & Advisor with the Judson Center, one of Michigan’s largest and oldest human services organizations. While serving Judson, O’Malley participated with the Blue-Ribbon Committee to recruit and hire a new CEO, their Branding Committee to recast and refine their branding strategies and served as a Co-Chair on their Marketing Committee.
Born in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario Canada O’Malley, his wife Chris and four children are naturalized US Citizens living in Ann Arbor. O’Malley attended Wilfrid Laurier University in Kitchener obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Graduate Business Diploma in Finance. He maintains Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Authority on Workers Compensation designations and all the required designations to be a P&C, Life, Accident and Health Producer in Michigan.
O’Malley is most proud of his wife Chris and their accomplishments in raising their four children, all of which have received academic and/or athletic scholarships to attend higher education universities/colleges.
The oldest son, an NCAA hockey player, is attending Medical School at Wayne State University, the oldest daughter is a Registered Autism Therapist working full time with children on the spectrum, the youngest daughter is entering her second year of law school at Georgetown University, and the youngest son returns as a second year Captain of the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL waiting to commit to an NCAA school for hockey beginning the fall of 2026.
Kyle enjoys travel with his family, watching his kids compete in sport, boating, fishing, playing golf and playing guitar with a penchant.
