Norma has been involved with Hockey has Heart since its inception. She and her husband, Mike, joined the board when their son, Wade, played hockey with Farmington Hills. She keeps active managing LaFever Chestnut Farms in Fenton where every fall they host people from all over the state. The farm provides picnic tables, roasting fires, tractor rides and freshly picked Michigan grown chestnuts. She also supports Detroit Catholic Central with flower arrangements for special events.

When not busy on the farm, she enjoys spending time with her son and grandson in Cincinnati.
